Ratings and Feedback
Ratings provide a record of good and bad transactions for every user.
Before you place a bid, check the seller's rating. This is one of the best ways to protect yourself
against fraud. You can see ratings and comments for every user by clicking on the number in parentheses
after the username.
If a user is new to Yahoo! Auctions, you will see "new" in place of a rating.
For users that have a rating, read through the comments and ratings to see how
they have handled other transactions. This can be important to do even if the buyer
or seller's overall rating is positive, because there may still be a history of negative
experiences with that user. Check back throughout the course of the auction because
comments and ratings can change.
Both parties may post feedback and ratings at the conclusion of an auction. A user who accumulates a
rating of negative 3 may be barred from Yahoo! Auctions. To help keep our community safe, it's
important to always rate the buyer or seller when you're involved in an auction transaction.

Bidders should not participate in transactions if
they do not have confidence in the seller. Bidders can use the question and answer feature of Yahoo!
Auctions to learn more about the payment and return policies of each seller,
as well as the condition or additional attributes of the items for sale.

Credit Card Verification
All auction users are required to register with a credit card or debit card. This ensures that participants are old enough to
use Yahoo! Auctions and that they are serious about bidding and selling.
Your Yahoo! account is password-protected and we use a secure credit card
verification process to protect your privacy and security.

To maintain a safe environment, we only allow one Yahoo! ID to be associated with your credit card.
Some of the other policies we've instituted to help keep Yahoo! Auctions clean and safe include
requiring users to maintain a rating of at least 5 to use our
Bulk Loader.
In order to submit a multi-quantity
auction (many of the same item) you must have a rating of at least 10 and
be a Yahoo!
