- Payment and Shipping
When you win an auction, you automatically receive an email from Yahoo! Canada Auctions with information on how to get in touch with the seller.
It's your responsibility to contact the seller to arrange payment and shipping. Your quick response at the close of auction is important:
The sooner you contact the seller, the quicker you'll receive your item. You'll also inspire confidence -- and earn a reputation as a reliable bidder (and probably earn a good rating from the seller).
- Tracking Your Auctions
To track all the auctions you win, click on My Auctions, then click on
Won.
Track the status of your item by entering
notes under the "Transaction Log" on your closed item page. These notes
are automatically time-stamped so you can easily record the date you sent
payment, received the item, etc. The transaction log
is only visible to the seller and the winning bidder.
- Rating the Seller
Remember to rate the seller when your transaction is complete. Also, remind the seller to rate you.

- Troubleshooting
Sometimes you think you've won the auction, but it turns out you're not the winner. Here are a few reasons why you might not be the winning bidder:
- Maybe you were outbid at the very end of the auction. Be sure to check
the item page just before the auction closes to make sure you are still listed as the winning bidder or "high bidder."
Reload the page to update and view the curent winning bidder.
- Your bid may not have been above the reserve price. Check the item page to make sure you are listed
as the "high bidder." If you are not the "high bidder," you will not win the auction.
- If you don't receive email at the close of auction, you may need to update your email address. Click on Options, then select
Edit Contact Information to update your email address.
You may need to edit your Event Notification preferences.
Remember, you can always find information about auctions you've won
by clicking on My Auctions, then on Won.
- Finding a New Item
If you didn't win your item, try again. Return to Yahoo! Auctions to search for a similar item.
